Contribute to the Wedding Newspaper

Hello dear family and friends of Julie and Daniel,

As Julie’s sister, Lina, I am hoping to bring back a German tradition to Julie and Daniel’s big day that has been a part of weddings in our family: The Wedding Newspaper.  It can be a bit confusing so I’ll explain how this all works and how you can be a part of this fun activity for the happy couple.

The Newspaper is a collage of sorts made up of funny or heartfelt stories about Daniel and Julie (childhood or adult), or poems that you want them to have, or fun pictures or pretty much whatever you think would be meaningful to Julie and Daniel. I will gather your contributions and put them into a newspaper format.

The newspaper is something that Julie and Daniel can take with them on their honeymoon and get a laugh as they browse through the funny stories and meaningful memories or letters that you have sent in. Copies of the newspaper will also be handed out at the reception so the rest of us can get a good laugh too!

Please don’t feel obligated to send a whole book of entries, but one or two stories, or maybe a photo or two, or a poem or quote would be awesome! It is not meant to be a lot of work, so any format whether it’s emailed, handwritten, scanned or mailed in to me is perfectly fine, -whatever way is easiest for you. -no powerpoints please.. those make it tough to squeeze in

Please send your entries, photos, etc. to my email at linaeichmann@gmail.com by November 1, 2011. That way I’ll have time to compile them all and get them printed.  I have attached a snap shot of the newspaper that was made by my brother and his wife for my wedding a couple years ago in case that helps you visualize what it will end up looking like.

One more thing – I’m taking ideas on what the newspaper should be called! Any thoughts?
