Lina’s simple and easy Pizza Roll!

Ingredients

  • 1 can pizza sauce
  • 1 loaf frozen whole wheat dough bought at grocery store
  • 1 bag pepperoni slices
  • 1 onion and/or peppers
  • 1 bag shredded mozarella

Directions

Before leaving in the morning place the frozen whole wheat dough loaf on a plate throughout the day. When you get home for dinner, preheat oven to 325 degrees and roll out the whole wheat dough to 1 inch thick in rectangle shape. Spread a can of pizza sauce or whatever tomato sauce you have over the dough leaving about 1 inch from edges clear of sauce. Spread pepperoni slices and shredded cheese and any other ingredients that seem yummy on top of the sauce. Roll up the dough being sure to pinch the sides together to seal in the goodies. Brush the top of the roll with a little egg wash (1 egg yolk and a couple teaspoons of water) Throw it in the oven for 35 minutes and Voila! Great with salad on the side and some red wine.
